The Mallock Clocktower Torquay Harbourside - Torquay's historic monument is now under wraps!!  Steve Goss, Landlord of the Clocktower Bar Torquay & Ian Broadfoot Torquay's Town Centre Manager were both invited to a site visit to this incredible 'Victorian Time Piece'.   Over the last 100 years this tower has been witness to the ever changing Harbourside and Strand area of Torquay.   Steve was able to take some unique digital pictures from the very top of the Mallock Tower which is now under a National Lottery and Local Government funded grant.   Restoration of this magnificent structure is scheduled to be completed by this Autumn.    Check out some of the panoramic pictures on our gallery.

We all heard that 'sensible' cider went up 10% in the budget, but did we notice that the rise was above inflation?  This means that it will now be part of the alcohol escalator - beer went up 2p and wine / spirit duties were also increased above the inflation rates.  We have purchased a larger order than usual to ensure that we keep our prices a little bit lower for a little bit longer!  We are however fighting against the tide.  Let's look on the bright side - The Wurzels may soon be number 1!!!!!

It's arrived after a long wait.   The imported Dutch 4.1% abv Amstel Lager is here!!   Weekend sales of this Amsterdam brewed lager looks very promising.    Look out for our premium vodka launch 'ERISTOFF'

Mayor Nick Bye is being asked to ban alcopops in a bid to bring down Torbay's alcohol-related hospital admissions.

 Inbev, the brand owner and brewer of Stella Artois has annouced February wholesale price increases.

 Although the minor roads were icy the main roads and town centre are all clear, this has not disrupted service at the Clocktower Bar.  We are open despite the weather!!

In mid January, Stella Artois leaves our servery after 12 years and replaced by imported Amstel Bier Lager!  Looking forward to the launch of this Premium product.  The Clocktower Bar will be one of the few outlets in Torquay serving the Amsterdam brewed draught Lager.  Enjoy!!!!
